People who say “you can’t” or “you won’t” are often just afraid that you will. 💡
But here’s the truth: Those voices can be powerful fuel if you know how to harness them. In my career, I’ve encountered plenty of scepticism. And rather than seeing it as a setback, I used it as an opportunity to push harder and reach even further.
❗ Here’s what I’ve learned when facing doubt and negativity:
➡️ Embrace the Scepticism If someone says you can’t achieve something, see it as validation that you’re on a path worth pursuing. Often, the biggest goals will attract the most criticism.
➡️ Prove Yourself Right, Not Others Wrong Shift the focus to yourself. Instead of wasting energy proving others wrong, double down on proving your own belief in your capabilities.
➡️ Stay Focused on the Long Game Success doesn’t happen overnight. While others may give up or lose faith, consistency and resilience are what truly set leaders apart.
➡️ Learn from Every Critic While some critics are motivated by fear or envy, others may point out valid areas for improvement. Deciphering between the two is a key leadership skill.
Ever faced a situation where someone’s doubt motivated you to achieve something bigger?
