Here’s something most people avoid talking about — mistakes.
I’ve made plenty. Some were minor slip-ups. Others came with a heavy cost in time, money, and stress.
But without them, I wouldn’t be where I am now.
Mistakes have taught me more than any course, book, or win ever has. Here’s why they matter:
1. They show you what’s missing
A mistake often exposes the blind spots you didn’t know were there. That awareness is a gift.
2. They build resilience
The first time something went wrong, it felt like the sky was falling. It wasn’t. Each time, I bounced back quicker and with more clarity.
3. Wins rarely force reflection
When things go smoothly, you cruise. But when things break? That’s when real growth happens.
One thing I always ask my team after something goes wrong is:
“What did we learn?”
Because if we’ve learned something, we’ve made progress.
Mistakes aren’t failures unless you ignore them.
