Tasks take as long as you let them.
Parkinson’s Law says work expands to fill the time available. Give something a week, and guess what? It’ll take a week. That’s where productivity quietly slips through the cracks.
Here are 3 tactics that helped me reclaim my time and focus:
1. Set shorter deadlines
Tighter timeframes sharpen focus. You skip the unnecessary and get straight to the core task.
2. Break work into short sprints
Momentum > motivation. Smaller chunks help you stay on track and avoid project fatigue.
3. Choose progress over perfection
Perfect can wait. Done drives results. You can always improve later.
Here’s a thought: What if most tasks could be done in half the time we assume?
